At WellBee, privacy is our highest priority. The content you create in the app may include highly sensitive personal information and is for your eyes only.

By using WellBee you accept this privacy policy.

Minimum Age Requirement

The main account holder of WellBee must be at least 18 years of age. By creating a main account, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement.

WellBee may be used by families and caregivers to record information relating to children under 18, but all such data is created and stored locally on the user’s device and is not collected, accessed, or transmitted by us.

Effective Scope

This policy is intended to comply with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR and UK GDPR where applicable.


What WellBee Collects

WellBee is designed to collect only the information necessary to provide its core features and improve user communication.

Email communications

If you choose to join our mailing list, your email address is collected and processed using MailChimp, our email marketing provider. This information is used solely to send WellBee updates, feature announcements, and related news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email.

We retain mailing list email addresses only as long as you remain subscribed. Once you unsubscribe, your email is deleted within a reasonable timeframe and any backups are securely removed.

Analytics

WellBee does not currently track any anonymous statistics about your app usage.

Should this ever change down the line, we will detail how and why it is necessary, in this section of the privacy policy.

Ads

We do not, nor will we ever, collect any of your personal information in order to serve you personalised ads. Third party ads have no place within the WellBee ecosystem. This is true whether you are a free or premium user.


How Your Information is Used

WellBee does not access, collect, or use any personal data created within the app. All information you enter into WellBee is stored locally on your device and is used solely to provide the app’s functionality to you.

We do not use in-app data for analytics, profiling, advertising, or any other secondary purposes.

Where you choose to provide personal data to us outside of the app, such as by subscribing to the WellBee mailing list, that information is used only for the purpose for which it was provided, including sending product updates, news, and information relating to the WellBee ecosystem.

We do not use personal data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not share personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.


How We Protect Your Information

WellBee is designed so that all information you create within the app is stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to us, accessed by us, or stored on any WellBee-controlled servers.

Data stored within the app benefits from the security measures provided by your device’s operating system, including application sandboxing and system-level protections such as device encryption and access controls.

Where personal data is provided to us outside of the app, such as when you subscribe to our mailing list, we take reasonable and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect that data from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. This includes limiting access to such data and relying on reputable third-party service providers with their own security and compliance measures in place.

While we take reasonable steps to protect personal data, no method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any access credentials associated with it.


Your Rights

Because all data created within WellBee is stored locally on your device and is not collected or accessed by us, we do not have the ability to view, access, or export that data on your behalf.

You remain in full control of all data stored within the app. You may delete your data at any time by deleting entries within the app or by deleting the app itself. When you delete your main account on your device, all associated data will be permanently removed from that device.

Where personal data is provided to us outside of the app, such as when you subscribe to our mailing list, you have the right to:

WellBee does not collect or process any personal data through the app itself. All information created within the app is stored locally on the user’s device and remains under the user’s control.

When you subscribe to email updates, your email address is processed by MailChimp to send newsletters, app updates, and related communications. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in these emails.

WellBee may be used by families and caregivers to record information relating to children. All such data is created and stored locally on the user’s device and is not collected, accessed, or transmitted by us.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child’s personal information has been provided to us outside of the app (for example, via our mailing list), please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
